Audley Reid
Audley Reid is one of Chicago’s finest Contemporary jazz and R&B musicians. Audley L. Reid, often referred to as “Reid”, began his musical odyssey over 25 years ago. Proficient on all saxophones, Reid prefers the Alto Sax and his passionate technique, smooth styling and distinctive sound often draws comparisons to the music of David Sanborn and sax genius of the late Art Porter, Jr. Reid’s effortless performances, across a wide range of musical genres including Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Blues, and R&B, has afforded him opportunities to perform with stars such as Buddy Guy, Phil Perry, Kim Fields, Nick Colionne, Howard Hewett, Will Downing, Ray Parker Jr., Michael Henderson, Vivian Green and Norman Connors, before a multitude of audiences at various galas, venues and events throughout the United States, Mexico, Asia, Canada, Europe and his native country, Jamaica. Reid’s solo and group performances with various bands have delighted audiences at a multitude of social galas, venues and concerts. Audley’s musical repertoire spans across several musical genres and while his primary instrument is the saxophone, he is proficient in other woodwind/reed instruments.
