Molly Bouwsma Schultz

Molly Bouwsma Schultz is a Grand Rapids native with a passion for music & performance of all types. Molly draws inspiration from many genres and artists especially from figures such as Nina Simone and Fela Kuti for their spirit to speak out against injustice and to promote social equality. For seven years, she has performed across the state previously as the lead singer of Blue Molly and now of Vox Vidorra.

In 2012, Blue Molly released it’s debut album and in 2013 received three XIV Annual (88.1) WYCE Jammie Awards including: Best Soul/Blues Album, Listeners Choice: Best New Artist, and Best Album by a New Artist. In 2013, Molly was also honored to receive the award for her Art Prize song entry, “In My Heart (To The Moon)” for Best Song in the Blues/Rock category presented by St. Cecilia. During the past year, Vox Vidorra has been cultivating it’s original material, innovative soulful indie-rock sound performing throughout the state, and looks forward to releasing their debut album.
